Hearth Apartment

Hearth Apartment is conceived as a home that gathers life through warmth, material depth, and everyday ease. From the point of entry, a field of outdoor tiles defines the foyer as a deliberate space of arrival – a tactile threshold that gently separates the outside world from the interior calm beyond. Overhead, the ceiling is clad in wood-laminated finishes, lowering the perceived scale and introducing a sense of cosiness. This treatment also allows for the integration of light boxes, where diffused illumination softens the space and creates an even, ambient glow throughout the living and dining areas. 

Colour is used not as a statement, but as atmosphere. Soft green textured paint appears across the kitchen ceiling and the bedhead wall, grounding the space with a quiet sense of nature and rest. In contrast, the pantry backsplash introduces Himalayan Kathmandu tiles from Hafary, bringing moments of colour, tactility, and subtle playfulness into the daily rituals of cooking and gathering. Together, these elements form a home that is calm yet lively – a vessel shaped not for display, but for connection, movement, and shared time.
