Hotel AURELIA
At AURELIA, the architecture is anchored by a single, continuous gesture — a sculptural bronze ceiling that moves through the building like a quiet current.
In the public spaces, it gathers weight and presence. The ceiling swells and dips above the lobby and lounge, its reflective surface catching light, foliage, and movement, transforming overhead space into something almost liquid. It is less a ceiling than a suspended landscape — one that compresses, expands, and guides the body through the hotel.
As the spatial sequence shifts inward, this gesture begins to recede. The bronze does not disappear but softens. Within the suites, it resolves into a quieter line — a subtle ceiling plane that traces the room with restraint. What was once expressive becomes atmospheric, allowing the private spaces to feel grounded, calm, and intimate.
This transition — from monument to nuance — defines the experience of the hotel. Public and private are not separated, but gently calibrated through scale, reflection, and material intensity.
Set against this are layers of softness: deep green textiles, timber, stone, and filtered daylight. Vegetation is drawn inward, dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior, while curved forms — in furniture, joinery, and plan — echo the language of the ceiling above.
AURELIA is not defined by contrast, but by continuity.
A place where a single material idea unfolds across scales — shifting in presence but never losing its quiet hold on the space.
