Reflections of Jade

A home shaped around the idea of stillness, depth and quiet permanence. Drawing inspiration from jade — not merely as a material, but as a symbol of refinement and time — the project explores layers of texture, shadow and reflection to create a sense of calm immersion. Dark brick, stone and timber establish a grounding presence, while water becomes a recurring element, introducing movement through reflections and shifting light.

Traditional motifs appear as subtle traces rather than overt gestures — screens, suspended lanterns and framed compositions quietly weave memory into the architecture. Spaces unfold gradually, moving between compression and release, intimacy and openness. Much like jade itself, the project reveals itself slowly; its richness not in excess, but in the depth discovered over time.
