SongDynasty Lamps

An exploration of Song Dynasty aesthetics through a more dreamlike and mythical lens. Borrowing from the quiet elegance of traditional rooflines, ink landscapes, drifting clouds and ornamental motifs, these lamps reinterpret historical language as something less literal and more atmospheric. Solid forms appear to dissolve into flowing gestures, as if caught between architecture and apparition. Rather than recreating the past, the series imagines a parallel world where Song Dynasty sensibilities — restraint, poetry and delicacy — meet a mystical visual language. The result sits somewhere between object and fantasy: familiar in spirit, yet untethered from time.
